Jason Macbeth of Team KTM UK - UEM EMX European Championship
During Round #4 of the UEM EMX European Championship by Goldspeed, we catch up with Jason Macbeth of Team KTM UK.

Richard Cole: We work with GOLDSPEED Tires and Theo Verbruggen, because of the quality and the compound of the racing tires. For each terrain, Goldspeed has the appropriate tire in their range (GOLDSPEED SX, MXF, MXR2, MXR, MXD and SC2). Furthermore, we help Goldspeed with the development of new and better tires. In Europe, Goldspeed is the best racing product on the market you can imagine. A position GOLDSPEED is creating in the U.S. There, riders are very pleased with the results the Goldspeed tires are giving them in the AMA American National Championship.

Jason Macbeth: We’re in Poland for the fourth round of the UEM European Championship by GOLDSPEED. Practice went well for me, I’m pleased with me times I put down in the practice and the qualification. I was running with MXR 20”inch tires on the rear (GOLDSPEED MXR PPM) and the 21”inch SX tires (GOLDSPEED SX PPM) in front. They were working fantastic, because some parts of the track were sand and other parts were hard packed. Thus, we had to find a tire that worked on both terrains . I’m happy with my qualification. I’ ve got fifth pick at the starting gate tomorrow.

When the gate dropped for the first moto of Round #4 here in Poland, I had a good start. I had fourth position in the first corner, which is good. I dropped a few places to sixth, due to a few mistakes. I fought my way back and was once again fifth. With a lap to go, I was the victim of mechanical problems. This meant, I had to push the bike over the finish. I was able to secure thirteenth place, which is good for 8 points. Hopefully, I can score some points in the next moto’s. We’ve just finished the second race, and I had again some bad luck. I had to use my second bike, due to the DNF in the first moto. I had again fourth place in the first corner. I felt a loss of power and the engine puffed some smoke. I dropped back to sixth place, and I managed to get some important points. The tires were excellent today. I myself used the GOLDSPEED SC’S on the rear and the GOLDSPEED SX PPM’S on the front. On the hard packed the SC’S had less grip, but that’s only normal. In the sand I couldn’t ask for more.
